With many thanks to User:Husky <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Husky> some
250 historic images of birds of the Netherlands were donated to Commons
earlier this month. The images come from the book Nederlandsche Vogelen

 (“Birds of the Netherlands”, 1770-1829) by Nozeman

<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martinus_Houttuyn> from the collection of
the national library of The Netherlands.
 The images can be found in Category:Nederlandsche vogelen van Nozeman en
Sepp

 For every bird the following names have been added
* *Modern scientific name of bird depicted*
* *Modern English name of bird depicted*
* *Modern Dutch name of bird depicted*
* *Dutch name as mentioned in book*
* *Latin name as mentioned in book*
* *Items depicted on plate*
Because of the Latin names all birds are in their corresponding categories,
see or instance Alauda arvensis
